Alyssa Green# dribbled the length of the court and made an easy lay-up to tie the game as time expired in regulation. The Mavericks then scored just two points in overtime as they fell, 75-69 to Central Missouri Saturday afternoon at Sapp Fieldhouse.
Nebraska-Omaha fell to 8-6 overall and 3-4 in the MIAA while the Jennies improved to 7-7 and 3-4 in the league.
Green scored a season-high 23 points off 8-of-20 shooting. She was 7-of-10 from the free throw line. #
Heather Pohl was 4-of-6 from the field with three 3-pointers for 11 points. Ashley Nelson# scored six points, blocked three shots and led the team with eight rebounds.
The two teams each shot just under 50 percent but they combined for 45 turnovers. The Mavs shot 47 percent with 22 turnovers while the Jennies shot 46 percent with 23 turnovers. Both teams scored just 13 points off the chances the turnovers created.

Ashley Nelson then blocked the Jennies' next shot attempt and she was later fouled on the other end of the court. She hit one of two free throws to tie the game, 65-65 with 23 seconds remaining.
Deidra Dace then made a lay-up for the Jennies to give them a two-point lead with four seconds remaining. After a full timeout by UNO, Green drove up the court for her tying bucket.
The Jennies scored the first six points in overtime before Green scored UNO's only two points on a lay-up. UCM them made two free throws down the stretch to put the game away.
The Jennies hit 60 percent (9-of-15) of their 3-point attempts on the day. They were 6-of-8 in the first half but trailed in the locker room, 27-26. They came back and built as high as an 11-point lead in the second half before UNO's comeback.
Meghan Waggoner led the Jennies with 22 points off an 8-of-9 performance from the field.
The Mavericks will return to action Thursday at Southwest Baptist with a 5:30 p.m. game.
