KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The Nebraska-Omaha soccer team closed out play at the Truman Labor Day Classic with a 4-0 loss to 23rd-ranked St. Edward's University. The loss drops the Mavericks to 1-3 on the year, while the Hilltoppers improve to 3-0-1.
SEU got on the board in the first half at 18:21 on Stacey Copeland's first goal of the game. Copeland scored again early in the second half at 51:42 to put the Hilltoppers up 2-0.
Kelly Servage added two more goals for SEU. She scored in the 61st and 87th minute of the second half.

Nicole Baier attempted nine shots, but could not get any of them past SEU netminders Troi Jorgensen and Claire Tilton.
The Hilltoppers out shot the Mavericks 15-13. UNO had a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
The Mavericks will begin MIAA play when they host Missouri Western on Thursday, Sept. 10 at the UNO Soccer Field. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
