KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - The UNO women's basketball team continued its late-season surge with a 73-46 win over the Truman State University Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon. The Mavericks have now won three straight games and five of their last six to improve to 12-10 on the year and 8-8 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

At the break, UNO was dominating in the paint with 18 points compared to just six for Truman State. The Mavericks also had 15 points off the bench against just two for the Bulldogs.
In the second half, Truman State got as close as ten points early when Georgia Mueller converted a layup to make it 38-28. She led the Bulldogs with 16 points.
But the Mavericks, who shot 50 percent from the floor while holding Truman to just 31 percent shooting, continued to pull away. Another three from Hargrove pushed the Mavs ahead by 20, 55-35, with 8:33 to go in the game.
Hargrove led the Mavs in scoring for the fifth time in the last seven games. She had 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting including going 3-for-4 from three-point range. #
Amanda Brodsack# had 14 points and a team-high seven rebounds. The Mavs had a 39-27 rebounding edge in the game.
