Fresh off their upset win against then fourth-ranked Emporia State last Saturday, the Mavericks started sluggishly against a Missouri Western team that came into the game with four wins. The Griffons' Jessica Koch hit a three to make it 13-4 with five minutes gone in the first half.

Amanda Brodsack# finished with 11 points and 13 rebounds, just one off the team-season high. Both Rachel Luteyn and Tierra Ford had ten points for Missouri Western which falls to 4-18 on the year and 4-12 in the MIAA.
The Mavericks finish the week on the road when they visit the Truman State Bulldogs on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m.
