Truman State, which entered the game winless in MIAA play, held a 7-5 advantage following the completion of a traditional three-point play by Georgia Mueller with 15:19 to go in the first half.  From there, the Mavericks would go on a 12-0 run keyed by a three-pointer and another basket from Nelson.  Throughout the rest of the half, Truman State would get no closer than 7 as the Mavericks took a 29-20 lead into the break.  Nelson had 12 points in the half.

In the second half, Truman State put together a run and trimmed the Mavericks' lead down to five.  Mueller was the catalyst for the Bulldogs as she knocked down six free throws in that stretch.  She led all scorers with 21 points as Truman State got to within 36-31 with 13:55 remaining .

The Mavericks responded with five straight points from #Cayla Hargrove# to bump their lead back to 10 points.  Hargrove had 9 of her 11 points in the second half.

The Bulldogs had one last push and closed to within 4 on a jumper by Malorie Kiecker with 9:02 to go in the game.  UNO then got six straight points from #Alyssa Green# and were never threatened again.

#Amanda Brodsack# had 14 points while Green had 9 points and a team-best 7 rebounds and 6 steals.
