LINCOLN, Neb. - Freshman
Anja Puc captured the 400-meter title and finished fourth in the 200-meter event to highlight Nebraska-Omaha's performance at the Nebraska Open on Sunday.
Puc captured the 400-meter crown in a time of 57.30, more than a second in front of the second-place finisher, while her fourth place finish at 200 meters was timed at 25.55.
Freshman
Kayla Koepke finished right behind Puc in both the 200 and 400-meter races. Her second-place time at 400 meters was 58.68 and her time of 26.02 was good enough for fifth at 200 meters.
Kaylen Harris placed second at 5000 meters in a time of 18:41.18, while
Lisa Tesarek was able to turn in a mark of 2:21.72 in the 800-meter run which was good enough for fourth place.
UNO will return to action tomorrow, Monday, Apr. 28, when they travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to compete in the North Central Conference Heptathlon-Decathlon. The meet will last two days, concluding Tuesday, Apr. 29.
