WALNUT, Calif. --
Kaylen Harris finished 24th in the 10,000-meter race late Thursday in the Mt. SAC Relays, posting a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Division II meet next month.
Harris ran the race in 37:15.52. The winner, Jacky Kipwambok of Azusa Pacific, posted a time of 34:37.25. The meet included some of the top runners from across the country in all divisions, as well as international competitors.
Harris' time was the second-best in the event in UNO history and the 10th-best in NCAA Division II this year.
The Mavericks will compete Friday in the Azusa Pacific Invitational.
