VERMILLION, S.D. -- Junior
Molly Belling and freshman Shana Brown both captured titles Saturday to highlight the University of Nebraska at Omaha track team's performance at the University of South Dakota John Dalton Open.
Belling won the 60-meter dash in 7.74, the third fastest time in the North Central Conference this season.
Brown captured the long jump title with a leap of 5.65 meters, the second-best mark in the NCC in 2008. Three other Mavericks placed in the top eight in the long jump with
Ashley Yates finishing second (5.33 meters),
Julia Warnke sixth (5.01 meters), and
Rasheema Pitt eighth (4.98 meters).
