OMAHA, Neb. – #Becca Swanson scored the game-winning goal and Amanda Iwansky and Mykala Hanson# each recorded two assists each as the University of Nebraska at Omaha soccer team blanked sixth-ranked Central Missouri 3-0 Saturday afternoon at the UNO Soccer Field. 
Swanson found the back of the net when she put a shot on goal from the top of the goalie box that beat UCM (15-3-2, 13-2-1 MIAA) goalkeeper Lauren Bamvakais at 7:36. The freshman was wide open after a touch pass from Iwansky who set up the score. Hanson was also credited with an assist.
UNO (13-5-0, 11-5-0, MIAA) tacked on two more goals late in the second half. Off a free kick just outside the box, freshman #Hayley Renshaw passed the ball quickly to a wide open Hanson who crossed the ball in front of the goal where she found Lindsey Nealon# who scored the goal in traffic in the 79th minute.
#Tara Wegehaupt# finished the scoring off, just five minutes later, when she took a cross pass Iwansky and found the back of the net in the 84th minute.
The Maverick defense was once again dominant, leading UNO to their fourth straight shutout. #Elizabeth Odorisio# started the match and stopped all three Jennies' shots. #Lauren Fox# started the second half and also collected three saves.
The Jennies best offensive opportunity came in the first half when UCM midfielder Alyssa Rhodes broke free and unloaded a shot on goal that hit the crossbar. Just seconds later, Odorisio was able to get her finger tips on and control a UCM shot to keep the Jennies off the scoreboard.
The Maverick offense was able to take advantage of the wind in the first half as they held a 7-3 edge in shots after the first 45 minutes. In the second half, UNO was held to just two shots, but both shots resulted in goals. Overall, the Mavericks out-shot the Jennies 9-8.
UNO will now wait for NCAA II Tournament selections next week. The official bracket will be released Monday, Nov. 10.
