Box Score WINONA, Minn. -- Three different Mavericks scored as No. 23 ranked UNO avenged an early-season loss to Truman State with a 3-0 victory in the first round of the NCAA Division II Central Regional at Winona State's Maxwell Field Friday.
The win, the ninth-straight for UNO, sends the Mavs into a 1 p.m. Sunday match against host Winona State.
Dani McCawley, the North Central Conference's most valuable player, scored her eighth of the season, converting a corner kick by teammate
Lindsey Nealon at 19:35.
Brandie Beale took a pass from
Niya Branch and scored her fifth of the year at 30:25 to give UNO, now 13-5, a 2-0 halftime lead.
Mykala Hanson, on a pass from leading scorer
Casey Bigsby, scored her eighth of the season at 72:07 to give UNO insurance.
Truman State, which finished its season 15-7-1, handed the Mavericks a 2-1 setback on Sept. 8.
