Made eight appearances on the mound with three starts, finishing 1-2 with a 9.77 ERA...Totaled 15.2 innings pitched with 13 strikeouts and just four walks...Made his season debut at UTSA (March 1), allowing one run on one hit with two strikeouts over 1.1 innings...Picked up the win at Iowa (May 7) with 3.2 innings, striking out a season-high four batters and surrendering one run on two hits...Earned the start vs. Western Illinois (May 14), tying his season best with four strikeouts while allowing four runs on nine hits...Named to the Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence.
As a Freshman (2012)
Made 10 appearances on the mound, including three games started…Posted a record of 1-2 with one save and a 3.16 ERA…Totaled 21 strikeouts over 31.1 innings of work and held his opponents to a .183 batting average…Debuted at Northern Colorado (March 10)…Threw 4.1 innings of relief to earn the win over Bradley (March 17), allowing one run on two hits with a season-high four strikeouts and no walks…Struck out a pair of batters in one inning at Iowa (March 28)…Entered the game in relief at IPFW (March 31), fanning three and surrendering a run on three hits…Tossed two hitless innings against North Dakota State (April 8), striking out two…Gave up one run on two hits over three innings at UNLV (April 14) and added three Ks…Made his first career start at Minnesota (April 18), throwing a career-long six innings…Limited the Gophers to three hits and one unearned run with a pair of strikeouts…Started at Indiana State (April 29), going five innings and holding the Sycamores scoreless on three hits with a trio of strikeouts…Closed the year at Kansas State (May 6), allowing four runs on five hits.

Lettered three years in baseball – two at Alta Loma High School in Alta Loma, Calif., and one at Woodbury High School in Woodbury, Minn….Also lettered one season in hockey at Woodbury…Chosen as varsity rookie of the year in both hockey and baseball as a sophomore…Made the playoffs for both sports that season…In his junior year at ALHS, led the team in innings pitched and strikeouts...Helped his team qualify for the CIF playoffs…As a senior, topped his team in wins, strikeouts, innings pitched and earned-run average…Named most valuable player of the Dicks Sporting Goods Tournament…Held a 3.50 grade-point average through his senior year…Received the Golden Arm Trophy and Outstanding Pitcher Award and was named to the all-tournament team at Nationals in 2007.
