OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Track and Field will head north for the South Dakota Challenge on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.
The Mavericks will compete 26 athletes across 11 events, two field and nine track.
With only two weeks left until the Summit League Championship, the Mavs are gearing up for their biggest meet of the season.
Omaha has 10 top-10 performances in the league. In the 100-meter dash, junior Avyn Urbanski (Grand Island, Neb.) sits eighth. She is also sixth in the 200-meter dash while sophomore Jocelynn Skoda (West Point, Neb.) is eighth. Skoda is also fifth in the 400-meter dash.
A hurdler appears in the top-10 with sophomore Lilly Smith (Ankeny, Iowa) sitting in eighth.
Senior Emma Klein (Gower, Mo.) is fourth in both the long jump and triple jump. Sophomore Kate Kelly (Gretna, Neb.) is eighth in the triple jump.
Both relay teams for the Mavs appear in the top-10, with the 4x100-meter team in fifth and the 4x400-meter team in fourth.
Action will kick off at 5:50 p.m. CT on Friday with the 3000-meter steeplechase and at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday with the long jump. Live results will be available.
