SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Omaha Men's Tennis player Liam Spiers was named the Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. 

Spiers, a graduate from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, defeated Drake's Christian Winstead 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 1 flight to push Omaha to a win over the Bulldogs. Spiers holds a 2-1 mark in conference matches.  

This is Spiers' third time being named singles player of the week. 

The Mavericks have two matches left in the regular season. They will travel to Illinois State on Wednesday, April 15 to face the Redbirds at 12:30 p.m. CT before hosting No. 71 Denver for Senior Day on Sunday, April 19. Play is set to being at 3:30 p.m. CT at Koch Tennis Center, weather permitting.
