Men’s Tennis to host cross-town rival Creighton, visit ORU

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Men's Tennis will host its cross-town rival Creighton before hitting the road to open conference play at Oral Roberts. 
 
The Mavericks (7-8) are coming off a weekend trip that saw them win three out of four matches with eight doubles wins and 15 singles wins for Omaha. Graduate Bryan Kuntz (Cuiaba, Brazil) was named Kwik Star Summit League Peak Performer of the Week for his efforts while the doubles team of graduate Liam Spiers (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) and freshman Anthony Scheglowski (Lakeville, Minn.) took home the award for doubles team of the week. 
 
Creighton (10-7) leads the series 9-6 all-time, but Omaha has won the last two in a row and six of the last seven.  
 
The series is tied between Oral Roberts (8-12, 0-2 Summit League) with seven wins for each team. The Mavs have won the last five in a row. 
 
Omaha will face the Bluejays at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, March 20 at Miracle Hill Tennis Center before heading to Tulsa to play ORU at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 22. A live stream and live scoring will be available for Friday's match.
