THIBODAUX, La. - Omaha Men's Tennis only lost one match in its double sweep of Nicholls State on Sunday.
The Mavericks (7-8) won the first match 7-0 and the second 4-0 over the host Nicholls State (4-6).
Junior Christian Trevey (Parker, Colo.) was 2-0 in singles with a win in the No. 2 flight over Felipe Spagnuolo of NSU in the first match. Trevey won 7-5, 6-4. In his second match of the day, the Mav moved up to the No. 1 singles match to face Marcell Marki. Trevey was winning dominantly, 6-1, 1-0, when Marki retired and handed Trevey the win.
Trevey also went undefeated in doubles with partner and fellow junior Kristian Thomas (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). The duo played in the No. 3 spot in both matches, with a 6-3 win in the first match of the day and a 6-2 win in the second match of the day over Mitchell Armbruster and Arthur Vusberg Manzano Oliani.
The Mavericks are back at home at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, March 20, to face cross-town rival Creighton.
