MBB closes regular-season at South Dakota, St. Thomas

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Men's Basketball (15-14, 8-6 Summit) closes out the 2025-26 regular-season this week at South Dakota on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. CT and at St. Thomas on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. CT. Wednesday's game in Vermillion, South Dakota will air on CBS Sports Network and 1290 KOIL/Varsity Network in Omaha. Saturday's game in St. Paul will stream on the Summit League Network with radio coverage on 1180 KOZT/Varsity Network. Gary Sharp has the call of both games.

Omaha is riding a three-game win streak into the final two games of the season as the Mavericks have a chance to finish as high as second in the Summit League standings.

On Senior Night last Wednesday, senior guard Ja'Sean Glover made the most of his outing. Glover hit a career-best six 3-pointers and matched a career high with 26 points in an 80-71 win for Omaha Men's Basketball over Oral Roberts in the final home game of the season. Four other Mavs scored at least nine points. Lance Waddles led that quartet, as he had 12 of his 14 points in the final 17 minutes to help Omaha maintain a double-digit lead for most of the half. Grant Stubblefield had another solid all-around game with 13 points, six assists and four rebounds. Valentino Simon had nine points, a team-best seven rebounds and two blocked shots, while Tony Osburn hit three 3-pointers and had nine points and five rebounds. Glover and Osburn, the "Day 1 Guys," have played all four seasons at Omaha since head coach Chris Crutchfield was hired in 2022.

Omaha looks to secure a split of the season series with the Coyotes on Wednesday after South Dakota bested the Mavericks 68-64 in Omaha on Jan. 21. Omaha is 13-16 against the Coyotes in the Division I era. Omaha is 5-9 in Vermillion and has won three of the last five games in the series.

Omaha closes the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. CT against St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn. The game will air live on the Summit League Network and 1180 KOZT in Omaha and the Varsity Network.

The 2026 Summit League Championship, conducted in its entirety at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, begins on March 4 with the opening round featuring the eighth seed vs. the ninth seed.
