TEMPE, Ariz. — Jérémy Loranger was part of all three Omaha goals Saturday, including the tying goal with 14:08 to play.
But Arizona State answered with three goals over the next seven minutes to secure a 6-3 win and split the weekend series.

Tyler Rollwagen scored a pair of power-play goals in the second period for Omaha (11-21, 7-15), which never led Saturday after winning 4-2 on Friday.
Arizona State (14-19-1, 7-14-1) moved back in front of Omaha in the NCHC standings heading into the final weekend of the regular season. Arizona State is in eighth place with 22 points, and Omaha is next with 21.
Arizona State took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. Omaha appeared to tie the game minutes later, but the Mavericks had the potential goal taken off the board when they were called for offside on video review.
Omaha outshot the Sun Devils 13-4 through the first 15 minutes, but the Mavericks were then whistled for a five-minute major penalty. That led to a power-play goal with 58 seconds left in the first period as ASU took a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.
Rollwagen scored his first goal of the night with 11:30 left in the second period when Omaha was on a 5-on-3 power play, but Arizona State scored four minutes later for a 3-1 lead.
Omaha went back on the power play, and Rollwagen once again made it a one-goal game as he scored with 4:09 left in the second. ASU goaltender Connor Hasley blocked Loranger's initial shot, but Rollwagen collected the rebound in front of the net and scored his second of the night. Loranger had assists on both Rollwagen goals.
Omaha tied the Sun Devils at 3-3 with 14:08 left when Loranger's shot from the side of the net found its way past Hasley. But Arizona State scored 68 seconds after Loranger's goal and pulled away from there.
Omaha will play its final series of the regular season at home next weekend against Miami (Ohio). Miami is four points ahead of Omaha in the standings.
