Track and Field heads back to South Dakota State

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Track and Field will head to South Dakota State for the second time this season for the SDSU Indoor Classic on Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14.

The Mavericks will send 24 athletes to compete in 11 events, 10 track and one field. Long jump will be the lone field event for the Mavs.

Omaha has set a standard for the past three meets. At least once per meet, a Maverick has recorded a result that landed them on the top-10 list in program history. Last time out, four Mavs made the list. Freshmen Briley Early (Leawood, Kan.) and Hope Riedel (Lincoln, Neb.) in the 3000-meter run, junior Avyn Urbanski (Grand Island, Neb.) in the 60-meter dash and sophomore Lilly Smith (Ankeny, Iowa) in the pentathlon.

Competition will kick off at 3 p.m. CT on Friday with the 200-meter dash and at 11:30 a.m. CT on Saturday with the 60-meter dash. Live timing will be available.
