Track and Field to compete in Washburn Open

TOPEKA, Kan. – Omaha Track and Field will continue the indoor season at the Washburn Open on Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31.
 
Only 10 Mavericks will make the trip to compete in the open. They will compete in eight events, including the first distance medley relay of the season.
 
The Mavs are coming off a weekend that saw two athletes land themselves within the top-10 in program history for their respective events. Junior Lily Schwartz (Lincoln, Neb.) ran a 5:03.81 mile to land in 10th all-time. Freshman Briley Early (Leawood, Kan.) ran the 3000-meter run in 10:10.67 to land eighth all-time.
 
Live timing will be available for the meet and it will be streamed on the MIAA Network.
