BROOKINGS, S.D. – Omaha Track and Field's Lily Schwartz and Briley Early have secured spots on the program top-10 lists after their performances at the Jim Emmerich Invitational on Saturday.
 
Schwartz, a junior from Lincoln, Neb., kicked off the day with a personal record in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:03.81. Her time lands her in 10^th on the all-time leaderboard for the program. She surpassed Michelle Ellingson who ran a 5:04.27 in 2003 that has been in the top-10 since. Schwartz had not yet been born when Ellingson recorded her time.
 
Early, a freshman from Leawood, Kan., ran a 10:10.67 in her first-ever collegiate 3000-meter run. She finds herself eighth on the all-time top-10. Early surpasses Linda Elsasser who ran a 10:15.75 in 1984 and has been on the leaderboard ever since.
 
The Mavericks finished the day with 11 more personal records.
 
Omaha will head to Topeka, Kan. for the Washburn Open on Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31 to wrap up the month.
