OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha cross country will start the 2025 season at home with the Platte River Rumble Gold on Friday at 6 p.m. CT.
The 5-kilometer race will take place on Olsson Cross Country Course at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Neb. and be hosted by the Omaha Sports Commission. Twelve teams will take to the course including fellow Summit League member South Dakota. Creighton, Kansas State, and Nebraska will round out the Division I teams.
Four Mavericks will make their collegiate debut at the meet.
Briley Early,
Litzey Fredette,
Charlotte Gregor and
Hope Riedel will take to the course for Omaha. Early was named to the Summit League Players to Watch list along with sophomore
Meredith Richter.
Omaha was picked to finish sixth in the league with 16 points and a tie with Oral Roberts. Last season, the Mavs finished in seventh place at the championship race in South Dakota.
