OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha women's soccer (3-4-3) begins Summit League action this week with a pair of road fixtures, traveling to North Dakota State on Thursday, Sept. 25 in Fargo, N.D. before facing North Dakota on Sunday, Sept. 28, in Grand Forks, N.D.
Last time out, Omaha played to a 1-1 draw with (RV) Colorado State Friday at Caniglia Field to close out non-conference play.
In the 19th minute, junior defender
Jasmyn Brown (Wichita, Kan.) finished off a corner kick from junior defender
Grace Bartlam (Rosemount, Minn.) to log her first career goal and put
Tim Walters' side on the board early in the opening half. The score was Brown's first collegiate goal, and the fourth Bartlam assist of the 2025 campaign.
In the 71st minute, junior defender
Emma Hampton (Urbandale, Iowa) fired a shot on frame, though Colorado State goalkeeper Gray Willson made the save. With two minutes remaining, Mia Casey netted the equalizer for the Rams after a rocket off the boot of Kacie Laurie ricocheted off the crossbar an found its way through traffic.
Senior goalkeeper
Charlotte Huggard (Plymouth, Mich.) appeared in her sixth match of the season, recording six saves on nine shots faced.
Heading into this weekend, sophomore forward
Charley Kort (Lincoln, Neb.), junior defender
Emma Hampton (Urbandale, Iowa) and graduate forward
Payten Ivins (West Haven, Utah) lead the team in goals scored with three on the season, while freshman forward
Kendall Dobberstein (Omaha, Neb.) and junior defender
Grace Bartlam (Rosemount, Minn.) lead the team with four assists each.
Through 10 fixtures in 2025, 11 different Mavericks have scored.
Omaha will face North Dakota State for the 17th time in series history Thursday. The Mavericks and Bison last met on Sept. 26, 2024, playing to a 1-1 draw.
North Dakota State enters the match 4-6-0. Sophomore Morgan Russmann and redshirt sophomore Isabel Gracia pace the Bison with three goals apiece, while juniors Kendall Stadden and Hannah Arnold have two each.
Following the matchup, Omaha continues Summit League play Sunday at North Dakota. The Mavericks topped the Fighting Hawks 1-0 in their last meeting on Oct. 10, 2024, and are unbeaten in the series since 2021.
North Dakota, currently 6-3-1, faces Denver on Sept. 25 before hosting the Mavs at Bronson Field. Charlie Basnit leads the Fighting Hawks with five goals, while Cora Ellermann has four and a team-high five assists.
The Mavericks return home Oct. 2 to host Denver at Caniglia Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and the match will air on the Summit League Network.
