SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Omaha men's tennis completed the two-day Augustana Invitational in Sioux Falls, S.D. Sunday to kickoff the 2025-26 season.
Bryan Kuntz def. Nebraska-Kearney's Ivan Melnik in the quarterfinal 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 to advance to the semifinal, facing Creighton's Yuma Daijima. Kuntz fell in the semifinal, 6-3, 6-3.

Kristian Thomas marched their way into the Flight A doubles final with the duo besting North Dakota's Christo Alex and Walker Valentine 8-6 in the quarterfinal, followed by defeating host Augustana's Thomas Kano and Lukas Mandelik 8-3 in the semifinal. The duo fell to Gustavus Adolphus' Gage Gohl and Tyler Haddorff in the final, 8-6.
Also in doubles play, Omaha's
Maddox Lundell and North Dakota's Cole Wilber def. Gustavus Adolphus' Ali Derbani and Ethan Ellor to advance to the Flight C semifinal, 8-6.
