KANSAS CITY, Mo. (July 17, 2025) - Omaha men's basketball has been named a recipient of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. The 2024-25 Mavericks finished the academic year with a 3.062 cumulative grade point average, including a 3.116 team GPA in the spring 2025 semester.
The 2024-25 Summit League regular-season and tournament champions placed three student-athletes on the NABC Honors Court, recognizing juniors, seniors and graduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Tony Osburn,
Marquel Sutton and
Joshua Streit became the first Mavericks to earn spots on the NABC Honors Court since Nathan Brusseau, Kyle Luedtke, Matt Pile and Zach Thornhill following the 2020-21 season.
