DENVER, Colo. - Omaha women's tennis fell to top-seeded Denver Saturday 4-0 in the 2025 Summit League Women's Tennis Championship title match. Saturday's match marked Omaha's second Summit League tournament final appearance (2019).
Denver started off with the doubles point in hand, sweeping No. 1 and No. 2 doubles leaving third doubles unfinshed.
The Pioneers took two-set victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 singles to clinch the Summit League championship, the team's 11th consecutive.
Head coach
Adam Summitt reflected on the match and the team's season commenting, "Denver was too good today. We battled and tried putting pressure on them, but at the end of the day Denver was just too good.
"This was an incredible season with a lot of positives and records set; it's a team I'll remember forever. Everyone contributed to the success of our team and have made us better on and off the court. I want to thank our seniors
Colby Kelley,
Keegan VanPelt and Paula Aracarons for everything they've done during their time here. They've left the program in a better place than when they arrived."
