OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Women's Tennis freshmen Katelynn Kock and Nina Wiese were named the Kwik Star Doubles Peak Team of the Week, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.

This is the second consecutive week a pair of Mavericks have received the honor after junior Summer Shannon and senior Keegan VanPelt were given it on Tuesday, March 18.

"Proud of our two freshmen to win this accolade for the week," head coach Adam Summitt said. "They have learned a lot about how to be an effective doubles team. They have had to learn on the fly but have found a stride and shown the improvement necessary as of late."

The duo helped the Mavericks set a program record of six straight match wins when they grabbed a 6-1 victory against Colgate's Eliza Podlas and Carina Cristobal.

Kock and Wiese took a second straight victory (6-2) over Stony Brook's Isadora Fares and Mila Charles the following day.

Omaha takes the court again on Friday, March 28, when it faces Summit League foe North Dakota at 1:30 p.m. CT at Miracle Hill Tennis Center. It will then face Marquette on its home court on Saturday, March 29, at 1:30 p.m. CT.
