MIAMI—Omaha Women's Tennis junior Summer Shannon and senior Keegan VanPelt were named the Kwik Star Doubles Peak Team of the Week, the Summit League announced on Tuesday.

"Happy to see Keegan and Summer get the recognition they deserve," head coach Adam Summitt said. "They played well last week and earned us some crucial doubles points. They are great friends and make a great team."

Last week, the pair played a vital role in extending the team's win streak to its third and fourth straight wins.

Shannon and VanPelt went undefeated as it helped beat Drake for the first time in program history with a 7 (8)-6 (6) over Shiori Takeda and Jessica Popiol.

The duo also topped Northern Iowa's Kim Zizek and Andjela Raznatovic 6-2.

Omaha is back in action for its second match in Miami when it takes on Stony Brook at 2 p.m. ET/1 p.m. CT at Biltmore Tennis Center.
