Three Mavericks set personal records in the 60-meter dash, led by Tania Gleason, who claimed first place with a time of 7.61 seconds. Avyn Urbanski followed close behind in second place with a time of 7.80 seconds.
Emma Klein and Regan Barnard also set personal records in the 60-meter dash. Klein finished in fourth place with a time of 7.92 seconds and Barnard finished in fifth place with a time of 7.96 seconds.
Grace Mustard and Lilly Smith also achieved personal bests in the 60-meter hurdles today. Mustard finished in third place with a time of 9.07 seconds and Smith finished in fifth place with a time of 9.35 seconds.
In the 400-meter dash, Ava Robinson finished in second place, just .04 seconds off her personal best. Meredith Richter scored a time of 59.67 seconds which put her into third place overall.
The Mavericks also shined during the long distance events.
"What a way to close out our regular season! We came out strong, executed at every level, and delivered some fantastic performances. I couldn't be prouder or more excited," said assistant coach Saskia Pingpank. "The energy is high, and seeing everyone trust and commit to our process is truly incredible. The growth we've achieved so far is remarkable, and I'm confident that next week, we'll elevate our game even further!"
In the 3000 meter race Carrington Hessen finished in seventh place with a time of 10:40.65.
Maya Bergstrom made her mile debut, recording a time of 5:13.47. Sydney Beaudin, Emma Hain, and Ainsley Anderson all set personal records in the event—Beaudin finished in 5:21.89, Hain clocked 5:26.24, and Anderson crossed the line in 5:32.16.
The Mavericks showed continuous improvement in field events, finishing strong in their final regular-season meet.
"Overall we had a great competition with a lot of personal bests and attempts at personal best heights, said assistant coach Thomas Stopak. "This week will give all the jumpers confidence going into conference to make some noise. It is all about the timing with our performances and we look to be at our best for this next meet."
Hannah Dunning scored a collegiate personal record with a distance of 5.30 meters (17'-04.75") in the long jump.
Klein recorded her third personal best of the day in the triple jump, with a distance of 11.96 meters (39'–03"), which earned her seventh place on the all-time indoor list.
Kate Kelly and Ali Wiseman also set personal records in the triple jump. Kelly jumped 11.32 meters (37'-.01.75") which put her into fifth place and Wiseman jumped a distance of 10.95 meters which put her into sixth place.
Three Mavericks finished in the top five in the high jump. Kaitlin Hellbusch finished in fourth place with a distance of 1.63 meters (5'-04.25"). Milan Coggins and Julia Niemeyer tied for fifth place both earning a distance of 1.53 meters (5'00.25").
The Omaha track and field team returns to action on February 28 and 29 for the Summit League Championships, held at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
