LINCOLN, Neb. – Omaha Track and Field wrapped up its first meet of the indoor season with a handful of personal records at Nebraska Friday.
The meet started with a pair of PRs in the 300-meter dash. Sophomore
Jocelynn Skoda (West Point, Neb.) shaved nearly a second off her last personal best with a time of 40.41 and a fourth-place finish. Junior
Ava Robinson (Aurora, Colo.) was right behind her in fifth place with a PR of 40.65, approximately .2 seconds faster than her last best.
Another Maverick improved their PR by .2 seconds. Senior
Emma Klein (Gower, Mo.) recorded a fifth-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.90.
Sophomore
Lilly Smith (Ankeny, Iowa) was the final personal best of the meet with a time of 9.33 in the 60-meter hurdles.
Omaha came close to a pair of events wins in the long jump and triple jump. Junior
Julia Niemeyer (Oak Lawn, Ill.) placed second in the long jump with an attempt of 5.51 meters and Klein placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 11.61 meters.
