OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Women's Basketball is heading out on a four day, three-game road trip through the state of Utah.
The Mavericks (1-1) are fresh off head coach
Jamie Carey's first win at the helm of the program with an 88-47 win over Saint Mary (Neb.) in Sapp Fieldhouse on Nov. 6. Freshman
Avril Smith (Omaha, Neb.) broke an Omaha single-game record with 21 rebounds for the Mavericks in just her second collegiate outing.
Omaha starts its trip with a game at Utah Tech (1-0) on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. CT. The Mavericks have never played the Trailblazers.
From there, Omaha heads north to Provo to face BYU (2-0) in their second matchup against a Big 12 opponent this season (K-State). Once again, Omaha will get to play an opponent it has no history with.
