OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Men's Tennis wrapped up their penultimate invite of the fall season at home on Sunday.
Redshirt sophomore
Pavan Uppu (Pickerington, Ohio) secured two singles wins during the invite. He defeated Washburn's Moritz Pieper 6-2, 6-1 on the first day of the invite and ended day two with a 6-2, 6-2 win over North Dakota's Christos Alex.
In doubles, both Maverick teams took home a pair of wins. The duo of Uppu and senior
Ethan Gaubert (Melbourne, Australia) defeated Washburn's Yuto Miyagawa and Petr Leipner 8-3. Omaha's team of junior
Caleb Peterson (Ankeny, Iowa) and junior
Christian Trevey won over North Dakota's Alex and Walker Valentine in a walkover.
In the semifinal round, Peterson and Trevey defeated Pieper and Benjamin Fock of Washburn, 8-5, to advance to the finals where the fell by a score of 8-4 to Creighton's Kirtan Patel/Yuma Daijima.

Omaha Men's Tennis will wrap up the fall season at ITA Regionals in Norman, Oklahoma on Wednesday, Oct. 8 to Sunday, Oct. 12.
