OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Cross Country is set to host its second home meet of the season at 1 p.m. CT on Friday, Oct. 17.
The Mavericks will be joined by fellow Summit League teams South Dakota State and Kansas City. Cohost Creighton will round out the Division I competition field. Nebraska-Kearney, Buena Vista, Iowa Western CC, Midland and Mount Marty will make up the rest of the field.
Omaha is coming off a two-week hiatus for its only meet in the month of October. Last time out, the Mavs placed 17
th against a stacked field at the Gans Creek Classic hosted by Missouri. Freshman
Briley Early (Leawood, Kan.) led the Mavs across the line with a time of 21:54.6 in her first collegiate 6-kilometer race. She has been the first runner from Omaha to finish in each race this season.
