OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Women's Soccer team's record-breaking 2024 season came to a close tonight when they were bested 2-0 by No. 5 Oral Roberts in the quarterfinals round of the Summit League Championship.

The Mavericks officially close out the year with a 10-3-5 record, marking the highest win total for the program in the Division I era.

How it Happened 

• After a couple early shots from the Mavericks, it was the Golden Eagles who ended up getting on the board in the 12th minute on a header from Samantha Guzman. That would be the only goal Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen allowed all half as she recovered and made five saves over the next half hour, including one with 40 seconds left on the clock to keep it 1-0 heading into halftime.
• 11 minutes into the second half ORU struck again with a goal from Lela Stark to make it 2-0. With time winding down, Omaha got two more shots from Grace Crockett, only for ORU's goalie to come up with the save on both.

Inside the Box 

• Seniors Mia Reedtz Rehde Olesen, Cece Behrens, Grace Ostergaard, Grace Crockett, Regan Zimmers, and Marissa Gohr all played 90 minutes tonight. For Zimmers, this was her 16th time playing all 90 minutes this season.
• Despite the two goals allowed, Mia also stopped a season-high six shots tonight. She ends her senior season with 185 career saves.
