Omaha Baseball Reveals 2024 Schedule

Jan 9, 2024

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha Baseball team has officially released its spring 2024 schedule. The Mavericks begin the season with three-straight road series at Arkansas State (Feb. 16-18), Long Beach State (Feb. 23-25), and a two-for-one at Lindenwood where they will play two games each against Bradley (March 1 & 2) and the hosting Lions (March 1 & 3).

"We are excited to finally begin the upcoming 2024 season," noted Head Coach Evan Porter "We look forward to another challenging Summit League schedule, as well as competing against high level non-conference opponents across the country."

Following three weeks on the road, the Mavericks will return home for their first game of the season at Tal Anderson Field when they host Portland on March 5. After that, the team is back on the road for a three-game series at SIUE from March 8-10.

Next is the first of three games this year against crosstown rival Creighton, with game one at Charles Schwab Field on March 12.

The Mavericks are back at Tal later in the week to open Summit League competition vs. North Dakota State from March 15-17. Then, their one and only game this season against Nebraska kicks off the next week when the team heads to Haymarket Park on the 19th.

Then it is back to conference play as the Mavericks have their first series this year against Northern Colorado on the road from March 22-24, followed by Oral Roberts at home to close out the month (March 28-30) and St. Thomas in Minnesota to open April (5-7).

Immediately after is an eight-game homestand featuring conference series with South Dakota State (April 12-14) and Northern Colorado (April 19-21), as well as game two of the Creighton series on April 9 and Omaha's second Power 5 matchup of the season when Kansas comes to town on April 16.

At the conclusion of this stretch, the Mavericks are on the road again for the next couple of weeks, playing their third Power 5 of the year at K-State on April 23, before closing out the month at NDSU (April 26-28).

The next month begins with the second series of the year at ORU from the third to the fifth. Closing out the road trip is the team's final Power 5 game this season when they again face Kansas, this time at the home of the Kansas City Monarchs at Legends Field in Kansas City.

Omaha will then play its final home series of 2024 from May 10-12 when the team hosts St. Thomas for the second time at Tal.

Finally, the season wraps up with game three of the Creighton series on the 14th and then the Summit League finale at SDSU from May 16-18.

The Summit League Tournament will be held from May 22-25 in Tulsa, Okla. Omaha is going for its fourth-straight appearance in the tournament.
