Omaha Mavericks sophomore racket Ethan Gaubert has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Tennis Peak Performer of the Week after Omaha's debut weekend.

Gaubert went 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles on the weekend. The Melbourne, Australia native registered Omaha's lone point of the match against Oklahoma State, winning in a three-set thriller. Gaubert fell 6-0 in the opening game and responded by going 6-1, 6-3 in sets two and three earn his first singles victory of the year. The following morning against UTRGV, Gaubert won his singles match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2 and won his doubles match with Gabe Whiston, 6-3.

This is Gaubert's first career TicketSmarter Summit League Men's Tennis Peak Performer of the Week.

Gaubert and the Mavericks make their home debut this weekend against Air Force on Friday, January 19 and hop back on the road to face in-state rival, Nebraska on Sunday, January 21.
