Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 The Omaha Women's Tennis 2024 season is officially underway after competing at the Hurricane Invite in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Mavericks went 0-3 this weekend. Full results from the weekend are listed below. 

"This was a great weekend for us to get our feet wet for the season. We had some good showings and competitive play. Our best was doubles vs Louisiana tech. They had solid teams and we really attacked them from the get-go," said head coach Adam Summitt. "We feel we can compete with anyone. Though we have to clean up a few things across the board. Going to try and keep getting better this week at practice, before next Saturday."

Omaha's first dual of the season was against the University of Tulsa. They presented some challenges for the Mavericks and swept them in the first match of the season. 

The Mavericks came back the next day for a full slate of action. The Mavericks next opponent was the University of Wyoming, where they fell short, but Omaha picked up a singles win for their first point of the season. 

Wrapping up the weekend with Louisiana Tech, Omaha had even more success. The Mavericks picked up the doubles point and an additional singles point, but ultimately fell. 

The Omaha Mavericks will return home to host the University of Sioux Falls at Miracle Hill this upcoming weekend on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 1:30 p.m.
