After being idle last weekend due to a weather cancelation, the Omaha Mavericks Track & Field squad returns to the track. The two-day meet takes place at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.

Tomorrow's events for the Mavericks kickoff with the 100m, 200m, 400m, 400m hurdles, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase and the 5000m. Isabella Fleming will race in the 100m and 200m, Macy Persinger will run in the 200m and 400m while Vanessa Gunderson will attack the 400m hurddles. Running the 1500m race is Paige Blackford, Gwen Steffen, Olivia Steffen and Emily Treptow. Zoe Christenson will run in the 3000m steeplechase while Sydney Beaudin, Maret Elgren, Kamryn Ensley, Danielle Howard, Lily Jackson, Lauren Metzger, Maya Nachtigal, Emily Robles and Madeline Yardley compete in the 5000m run.

Friday's events opens with a pair of relay races in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 400. The 800m race will be ran by Paige Blackford, Alicia Ruud, Gwen Steffen, Olivia Steffen and Emily Treptow.

This weekend's Simpson Meet is the penultimate meet of the outdoor regular seasom for the Mavericks. Omaha will head to Iowa State next weekend before competing in the Summit League Championship to close out the season.
