Box Score The Omaha Mavericks Women's Tennis team fell just short last night to Creighton in their 2023 home debut. A battle all the way to the final point, Creighton edged the Mavericks, 4-3.

"Every year we have a long, very competitive match with Creighton. Last night was no exception. A lot of good came out of this for us. We didn't get the result we wanted, but we played really well and showed some real grit. I hope we can continue to battle the way we do and get the ball to roll our way a few more times than before."

Omaha jumped out to a 1-0 lead last night taking the doubles point against the Bluejays. Ines Absisan and Keegan Van Pelt closed out the doubles portion with a gutsy 7-5 victory to secure the point. Lillian Tiemeyer won her singles match 6-3, 6-4 and Zoe Adkins took care of business in a three set triumph, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.
