Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Omaha Mavericks Women's Tennis team finished yesterday's doubleheader against Fort Hays State and Milwaukee in sweeping fashion. They dropped just one set between the two matches. They defeated the Tigers 7-0 and the panthers 4-1.  

"We had a tricky day with two matches back-to-back. Fort Hays is a good division two team. They came ready to play. They pushed us at some spots and beat us in doubles," Omaha head coach Adam Summitt said. "Singles, they didn't give up. We just need to be locked in right away. We just didn't execute at times and follow a simple strategy. I'm really happy to see Alexia back in the lineup too. Shes an All-Summit League player who can help give us an edge when she's in there"

Jessica Aragon, Zoe Adkins, Addison Miller, Keegan VanPelt, Brooke Covington and Lillian Tiemeyer secured the singles points against the Tigers. Aragon and Adkins along with Miller and Alexia Di Julio captured the doubles points for Omaha to down FHSU.

"We knew going in this was going to be a battle," Summitt said. "We started doubles off on such a high note. Then after 15 minutes, for whatever reason, we decided to pull off and let Milwaukee back in. They taught us a good lesson in doubles. However, we responded really well and I'm proud of the group for that. We had some dominating performances. Hope to stretch that into next week."

Aragon, Adkins, VanPelt and Ines Absisan captured the for clinching points for the Mavericks in the late match against the Panthers. Full results of yesterday's matches, see below.
