The Omaha Mavericks Women's Tennis team looks to get back on track this weekend when they take on the Tigers of Fort Hays State University and the Milwaukee Panthers.
"We have a long day ahead of us. We start with Fort Hays. They are a solid D2 team that will challenge us and make us work," Omaha head coach
Adam Summitt said. "We just need to be ready and efficient. Because we have another tough match right after them with Milwaukee."
The Tigers enter tomorrow's match 3-2 on the season while the Panthers have a .500 record of 4-4. Omaha is 1-1 at Miracle Hill Tennis Center this season. They defeated Bradley University soundly by a score of 6-1 and were narrowly edged by Creighton, 4-3 in their home debut.
"Milwaukee is a really good team. We were very close with them last year and even this fall at the hidden duals at Drake," Summitt said. "If we aren't locked in, it can get away from us pretty quickly. We hope to see a lot of fans out at Miracle Hill Saturday."
Tomorrow's action against Fort Hays State begins at 1:30 p.m. and can be followed via live stats
