Women's Tennis Unveils 2024 Spring Schedule

The Omaha Women's Tennis Team has announced its 2024 Spring Schedule. The season is slated with nine home matches and starts with the Hurricane Invite in Tulsa, OK on Jan. 13 against the University of Tulsa. 

"We are excited to announce the 2024 schedule. It's going to be a fun, challenging, and thrilling season for us," said Women's Head Coach Adam Summit. "We have worked hard, and the is schedule will test our skills and determination. We look forward to competing against these strong opponents and showcasing our team's talent. Our goal will always be to make the Summit League Championship in Des Moines to compete for a title. We feel we have set ourselves up well to accomplish this. We can't wait to see our fans and supporters in the stands this spring." 

The Mavericks will play their first match at Miracle Hill on January 20 with a doubleheader against Sioux Falls and Midland University. To open up the month of February the Mavericks will take a quick trip to Des Moines to battle Drake. They will then return to Miracle Hill for three matchups over a week. The Mavericks will start with UNI and then host Central Arkansas and Missouri State. Closing out the month, Omaha will travel down the road to face cross-town rival, Creighton. 

The opening weekend of March will hold a road match to South Dakota to start Summit League conference play and Nebraska. The Mavericks will return to Miracle Hill to host Denver for their first home conference dual. The rest of the conference schedule holds matchups against North Dakota, Oral Roberts, St. Thomas, and Kansas City. Last season, Omaha picked up conference wins against South Dakota, Oral Roberts, and St. Thomas.
