Coming off the Drake Invite, the Omaha Mavericks are right back to work as they head south to Mexico for the Cancun College Cup this week. They join Southeastern Louisiana State and the University of Wyoming for the exhibition tournament which takes place the 14-17.
" This is a new, exciting event we're going to. Coach Hayes at Southeastern Louisiana State invited us and it should be a great time for all," Omaha head coach
Adam Summitt said. "We will get a chance to play three days of different lineups and doubles teams. Everyone is going to get a chance to compete and play."
Outside of taking care of business on the courts, the Mavericks will have no problem getting some team bonding in over the course of the tournament.
"On top of playing, we are at an amazing resort with a lot of amenities. This will be a fun and rewarding trip for the players," Summitt said.
Results from the tournament will not be available as it is exhibition play only. Tune into the Omaha Women's Tennis social channels for player takeovers and content from the trip.
