Omaha splits this week's action and open the two-game slate at home with South Dakota. The Mavericks and Coyotes tipoff Thursday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. Both teams are looking to rebound off close losses. Omaha dropped a road game at North Dakota, 92-85, despite a career-game from
Frankie Fidler. South Dakota fell by two at North Dakota State Monday night in a rescheduled contest.

Frankie Fidler poured in a career-high 37 points at North Dakota last Saturday nearly helping the Mavericks pull off a win vs. the Fighting Hawks.
• Fidler's 37 points marks the most points scored by a freshman in DI basketball this season. He is also the first Maverick to score at least 30 in a game this year.
• His 37 points is the third most points scored in a single-game in the DI era. It is sixth all-time.
• Fidler is averaging 14.6 points per game in league play, which ranks 12th in the top-25 players.

Marco Smith was the only other Maverick to notch double-figures. He finished with 11 points on the day.
• The Mavericks nearly pulled off the win at North Dakota State to start the week's action. Four straight points from
Dylan Brougham with under a minute left Thursday night got the Mavericks within two. The Bison converted late free throws to take the 71-64 win.

Felix Lemetti led all-scorers with 17 points. It was the sixth time he led the Mavericks offensively this season.

Darrius Hughes added 12 points off the bench, while Brougham posted his second straight game in double-figures with 10 points.
• Fidler helped Omaha snap a six-game skid over the weekend with a 69-68 win vs. Kansas City. The freshman forward put up a career and game-high 25 points, including the buzzer beater to clinch the win.
• Fidler is now the third Maverick to score 20+ points in a game.
Nick Ferrarini and Lemetti each have two on the year.
• Brougham also notched a new career-best in the meeting vs. the Roos. He scored 13 points and also matched his career-high five rebounds.
• The win vs. the Roos marked the first time the Mavericks won a game on a Saturday this season. It also marked the first win in gray uniforms.
• Head coach
Derrin Hansen enters his 17th season at the helm. He has a 252-255 career record leading the Mavericks.
• The 2021-22 season is the 109th overall in program history and the 11th of the Mavericks' Division I era. All-time, the program is 1,206-1,342.
Scouting the South Dakota Coyotes
The Coyotes are 13-10 overall and 6-6 in league action heading into this week. They are coming off back-to-back losses to North Dakota State and South Dakota State. NDSU took a two-point win Monday night, while SDSU downed the Yotes by 10 on Saturday.
Kruz Perrott-Hunt leads USD with 15.0 ppg, while Mason Archambault, Xaiver Fuller, and Tasos Kamateros are also in double-figures. Perrott Hunt is on a 10-game double-figure scoring streak. He most recently scored 13 vs. NDSU and 15 vs. SDSU. He put up a season-high 25 points vs. Denver back on Jan. 13.
South Dakota is led by Todd Lee. The Coyotes have a 60-50 overall record with Lee at the helm. Over his 12-year career, Lee has compiled a 214-130-1 overall record.
All-Time Against South Dakota
South Dakota leads the all-time series 52-46. The Yotes earned another win earlier this season when the Mavericks made the trip to Vermillion. Lemetti and Fidler each scored 11 to lead Omaha in the game.
