Omaha Softball Adds Marshall for 2023 Season

Jan 3, 2022

OMAHA, Neb. – Jenna Marshall is the newest Maverick set to join Omaha Softball in the Fall of 2022. Head coach Mike Heard announced the addition of Marshall in late December.

"Jenna is another in-state student-athlete we are very excited about," said Heard. "She is a three-sport athlete with tremendous athleticism who we feel has a very high ceiling for softball. We look forward to watching her contribute to what we are building."

Marshall is a four-year letterwinner out of Gretna High School. She's started the last three seasons at catcher and also plays basketball and competes for the track & field team. In her sophomore and senior seasons, Marshall helped her team to third place finishes at state. They also earned a fifth-place finish when she was a freshman.

As a senior, Marshall hit .410 on the year. She was named World Herald Second Team All-Nebraska, Class A Second Team All-State, Lincoln Journal Star Class A Second Team All-State, and All- Metro.

"I chose Omaha because I believe the team has a lot of the same values I do, and I want to be a part of the softball program that is being built."
