The Basics
Omaha splits this week's action home and away. The Mavericks and Jackrabbits square off at Baxter Arena at 7:30 p.m. following the women's game. Omaha is 1-2 over the last three games after picking up a win vs. North Dakota. They dropped back-to-back games by less than five points to North Dakota State and Kansas City. The Mavericks look to upset the lone undefeated team in Summit League play.

• The Mavericks had a chance with seven seconds left to tie the game 63-63 at Kansas City and force overtime Monday. The corner three-pointer fell short sealing the win for the Roos, 64-61.

• Ferrarini led the Mavericks with 12 points off the bench, while Fidler extended his double-figure scoring streak to five games with 10 points.

Marco Smith tallied a career-high four steals.
• The Mavericks combined for a season-high 98 points in their win vs. North Dakota Thursday. Six players led the team with double-figure scoring efforts, which was the first time more than four players put up 10+ points in a game this year.
• Fidler led the way with 16 points on 7-of-9 from the field.
Felix Lemetti (15), Hughes (14), Ferrarini (13), Smith (12), and Luedtke (11) were the remaining five Mavericks to notch at least 10 on the night.
• Smith tallied a career-high seven assists and two steals vs. UND. He also grabbed four boards.
• Omaha's 12.5 apg average in league play sits third in the charts. Smith is averaging 3.7 apg in the first six games of conference play to rank fifth in the league while Lemetti sits at sixth with 3.5 apg.

Derrin Hansen enters his 17th season at the helm. He has a 251-249 career record leading the Mavericks.
• The 2021-22 season is the 109th overall in program history and the 11th of the Mavericks' Division I era. All-time, the program is 1,205-1,336.
Scouting the South Dakota State Jackrabbits
The Jackrabbits are 13-4 overall and 4-0 in league play heading into this week's action. They are atop the Summit League standings as the only remaining undefeated team in conference play. SDSU's losses this season came to Alabama, Washington, Idaho, and Missouri State. The Jackrabbits have league wins vs. Kansas City, Oral Roberts, North Dakota State, and South Dakota.
SDSU leads the league in scoring with 87.1 points per game, while also averaging a league best 51.5 percent from the field. Noah Freidel ranks second in the league with 18.0 points per game. Douglas Wilson also ranks in the top-10 in the league adding 14.4 ppg. Freidel notched double-figures in all but the last two games for SDSU. He's scored a season-high 25 points on two occasions.
Eric Henderson is in his third season as head coach of the Jackrabbits. He's compiled a record of 51-21 at the helm.
All-Time Against South Dakota State
SDSU leads the all-time series 48-32. Omaha last win vs. SDSU came in the 2019-20 season. The Mavericks took an 81-78 victory at Baxter on Dec. 29.
