OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha baseball team fell 12-3 in game one and 2-1 in eight innings in game two in a doubleheader vs. Oral Roberts on Friday evening at Tal Anderson Field.
The two losses drop the Mavericks to 19-21 (11-10 Summit League) while the Golden Eagles improve to 25-19 (16-5).
Game One: Oral Roberts 12, Omaha 3
How it Happened
- An RBI single in the first and a solo homers in the second and third gave the Golden Eagles an early 3-0 lead.
- Harrison Denk and Masen Prososki began the bottom of the third by reaching in back-to-back at-bats before Keil Krumwiede ripped a two-RBI double to left center, plating the two Mavericks and cutting the ORU lead to 3-2 after three.
- Oral Roberts tacked on four runs on five hits to expand the lead to 7-2 in the fourth.
- The Golden Eagles added five runs on a pair of hits and a Maverick error in the top of the sixth while Krumwiede's solo home run to right in the bottom of the seventh capped the scoring for the two teams in game one, as Oral Roberts posted the 12-3 victory.

How it Happened
- Jayden Maifeld held Oral Roberts hitless until a two-out double down the right field line in the top of the fourth.
- A walk and two straight singles allowed the Golden Eagles to take a 1-0 lead in fifth inning.
- Denk began the bottom of the seventh by reaching on an infield single and advancing to second on an errant throw.
- Mike Boeve's RBI single brought home Denk and tied the game up at one in the seventh.
- A hit by pitch with the bases loaded allowed ORU to plate the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth.
- A hit by pitch and a walk had runners on first and second with one in the bottom of the eighth for the Mavericks, but Denk lined into a double play to end game two.
