OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha baseball team fell 15-2 vs. Creighton at Tal Anderson Field on Saturday afternoon.

The loss drops the Mavericks to 3-5 on the year while the Bluejays improve to 4-2.

How It Happened

• Freshman Mike Boeve hit the first homer for the Mavericks in the new ballpark with a solo shot in the first inning to give Omaha a 1-0 lead.
• After five innings of a one-run game, the Bluejays took a 5-1 lead with five runs on a pair of hits in the sixth.
• CU piled onto the lead with an eight-run eighth inning to grow the lead to 13-1.
• Chris Esposito reached on an infield single in the eighth before racing home on a wild pitch for Omaha's second run of the day.
• The Bluejays added two more runs in the ninth to clinch the series victory.
