Fifth year (2021) 
Started 31 games with an average of .255 at the plate, a .392 slugging and .330 on-base percentage... Scored 20 runs on 26 hits including eight doubles and two home runs, batting in 11 on the year... Scored four runs on a three-hit day at Missouri (Feb. 27) that included a double... Notched four RBI on a double and a home run later in the Missouri series (Feb. 28) … Made three appearances out of the bullpen, totaling 2.1 innings with one strikeout. 

As a Senior (2020)
Saw season shortened to 14 games due to COVID-19… Started and appeared in 13 games for the Mavericks at third base… Recorded five multi-hit games… Batted .280 with a .412 slugging and a .394 on-base percentage… Recorded two doubles with an RBI at Northwestern (Feb. 15)… Notched two hits with a double against Chicago State (Feb. 21)… Plated two runs scored with two hits and an RBI against Chicago State (March 1)… Recorded an RBI against Creighton (March 7)… Named Academic All-Summit… Named to The Summit League Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence.

As a Junior (2019)
Started all 56 games at third base for the Mavericks… All-Summit First Team and NCAA Los Angeles Regional All-Tournament honoree… Summit League Player of the Week (April 1)… Summit League Regular Season and Tournament Champion… Batted .293 with a .426 slugging percentage and a .409 on-base percentage… Ranked second on the team with 55 hits and also had 33 runs scored, 21 RBI, 11 doubles, four home runs and a triple through 188 at-bats… Registered 72 assists and 35 putouts with a .922 fielding percentage… Homered back-to-back times in the Los Angeles Regional against No. 1 UCLA and No. 12 Baylor… Posted back-to-back doubles in the opening series at USC (Feb. 15-16)… Recorded his first-career home run as a Maverick at Wichita State on March 26… Recorded three hits in four straight games from March 30 – April 5 in the series against Western Illinois (March 30-31) and in the series opener at South Dakota State (April 5)… Nearly completed the cycle March 31 against Western Illinois with three hits for three runs scored with two RBI on a single, a double and a triple… Went 3-for-4 with three RBI and a home run at South Dakota State (April 5)… Had three RBI at Oral Roberts on April 12… Homered April 21 at Purdue Fort Wayne… Went 3-for-4 with two runs and a homer against Baylor at the NCAA Division I Los Angeles Regional… Totaled 15 multi-hit games on the year… Made one mound appearance with 1.0 inning pitched at Savannah State March 3... Named to The Summit League Academic Honor Roll. 

Iowa Western CC
Began his collegiate career with two seasons under head coach Marc Rardin... Helped his team to a 2018 JUCO World Series appearance... As a sophomore, went 2-1 with a save over 14.1 innings pitched and a 0.63 ERA.... Batted .355 with 27 runs scored and 20 RBI... Named an Academic All-American and Iowa Western Scholar Athlete winner.

Amherst High School
Four-year letterwinner for the Broncos under head coach Brad Archer… Named First Team Class D-1 All-State and All-Area in football breaking the Nebraska All-Class career touchdown receptions record… Two-time Cornhusker League All-Star in baseball as a senior… Also broke his high school’s record for career points in basketball and a Class C State medalist in long jump and triple jump in track and field as a senior… First Team Class D-1 All-State and All-Conference in basketball and First Team Class D-1 All-State and All-Area in football, Class D Triple Jump State Champion and State Medalist in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and long jump as a junior… Third Team All-Conference in basketball as a freshman… National Honor Society and Academic All-State in football, basketball and track.

Born Aug. 27, 1997… Son of Bartley and Nicole Eckhout… Has a brother, Holden… Earned his Associate’s in general studies from Iowa Western in May of 2018... Majoring in exercise science… Hobbies include hunting, watching movies and eating ice cream.
