Dear Omaha,

Life back home in North Dakota is going well. North Dakota has not seen as many drastic changes as a lot of places in the US have. We are not allowed to sit down in restaurants, but almost every food option is open for takeout or delivery. Right now, the state is practicing social distancing and is extremely strict on this practice and if there is a gathering of 10 or more people you will get a citation.

To keep myself busy I have been working out in my living room and playing a lot of spike ball. I have also come to the realization that if someone challenges me to a game of spike ball, I cannot turn it down. So, I will say this to everyone, if you ever need an extra spike ball player, I am your guy. I am currently undefeated in 2020 and am looking forward to extending my win streak.

One thing that I am missing right now is the Aksarben area. The amount of food options that you have in this area is amazing. No matter what food craving you have, I am willing to say that Aksarben will be able to fill your need. What I miss about campus is walking into Hamilton and looking around to see all of the people that you know who are studying, and then walking over to them to give them a brief study break to catch up and see how their sport/life is going. Thinking about being able to see all the people in the Maverick community has me excited to get back to Omaha and get back to work. Competing with my teammates is always something that I look forward to and I miss getting the boys pumped up with my pre-match bangers only playlist.

To the fans, we can not thank you enough for all the support we get from you. My favorite thing about gameday is seeing all the fans that come to watch us during the warm up. On behalf of the entire Omaha men’s tennis team we thank you for all the support. And as always, Go Mavs!
