ISU's Cline earned the loss (0-1) with 4.0 innings pitched, three strikeouts, four walks, three runs and three hits allowed.

INSIDE THE INNINGS
Omaha fell behind 1-0 after Indiana State plated a run in the top of the fourth. A single to right field scored the Sycamore runner and put the Mavericks in an early deficit. Omaha, however, answered with three big runs in the bottom of the same inning.

Masen Prososki walked and then got to second on a Breyden Eckhout sacrifice bunt. After Smejkal was walked, that put two runners on base. Krumwiede came up to the plate and singled up the middle to score Prososki and even the game up at 1-1. Goldston followed with a single of his own that loaded the bases. The Mavericks eventually took the lead on an Indiana State wild pitch, which advanced all the runners and scored Smejkal to make it 2-1. The final Omaha run came on a Garrett Kennedy sacrifice fly RBI, which brought Krumwiede home.

Omaha had another two innings of shutout ball before Indiana State plated its second run of the day on a sacrifice fly after a single and a walk. After the single and the walk, Howe entered the game midway through the seventh and got out of the inning. Later on in the eighth, Howe only relinquished one hit to Indiana State and kept it at 3-2 heading into the ninth. For the second-straight day, Mohler earned the save as he fanned the first two batters he faced and got a groundout for the win.
